Question about Linksys Instant Wireless WMP11 802.11b
I just purchased a new computor & had them install my wmp11 ver.2.7 in it. I have had this wireless card for just over a year and very satisfied with it so why get rid of it.
The new P4 with xp pro sp3 with IE 7.0 & my wireless card
With ethernet cord plugged in, all works great. I did update the driver I dn/lded from Linksys. My wireless says connected, strength excellent.
Status: limited or no connectivity
Packetts sent is only 63 with 0 received.
I am only about 10 feet away from my Linksys wireless router. Before with great results I was almost 100 feet away.
Where I purchased the computor says it is my equiptment problem, my dsl provider tech support says it isn;t their problem as all other computors i have work well, wireless and or connected by cord.
So here i am stuck in the middle, --=hmmm sounds like a song..lol
Could it be the sp3, the IE 7.0 or both? Or a compatibility problem with the new mother board?
I do hope someone has the answer & it be simple, if so thanks in advance.
