Question about Fujitsu Siemens AMILO D-7830 Notebook

1 Answer

Wireless problems My home has a wireless connection and my laptop used to be able to connect to it, however when i went away for a w/e and came back I found that it would not connect, no matter how close I got to the wireless port. I know the port still works, as it works on other laptops. My laptop is a fujitsu siemens, is there a switch or setting that has been accidentally changed?

Cant connect to wireless away from home

You have to manually connect to your University's wireless connection. Double 9maybe single) click the wireless icon bottom right screen and then untick the box for connect automatically under your home connection. Then double click on the wireless connection that you would like to connect to from the list of available wireless networks.

My laptop would not connect to wireless while I was away in a hotel

Open up you're network connections in you're notebook & run the wireless wizard. Search for you're home wireless network.
You should be able to connect to you're home. Remove any other networks you might find. While you're at it I suggest you setup security for you're home network with a password.

Let me know how it goes.
