The picture is no longer correctly aligned with the edges of the TV. Leaving the sides of the picture kind of rounded. It also no longer lines up with the bottom edge so the ticker that runs on the bottom of certain programs is cut off, for example on espn the bottomline is cut off because the picture seems to be to far down. i'm sure the picture just needs to be lined up with the four edges of the T.V kind of like you used to have to with computer monitors when they didn't fit the screen, actually it is just like that. Any help would be great.
The quality of the picture other then this problem is great.

Re: The picture is round
No my freind, im afraid that you have bad waveshaper capacitors in the vertical sweep circuit in your TV set. This is not an adjustment. you should have a pro assist you with the repair of this set as it is dangerous because of the high voltage inside these sets.

Another favourable option is to add BlueTooth speakers that can make your speaker placement wireless and easier without running cables behind furniture, etc. You would need a Bluetooth adapter either pluggable into your TV or externally from cable plugs. It helps that your TV has built-in Bluetooth or Wifi to make this option possible.
U have tools like a soldering iron and a roll of solders u also can do basic soldering work too?Yes,take the tv aparts. The tv video board that the board where it is connect to the tv CRT-(tv tube) it have cold soldering on it round pins sockets video board that it connect to the tv CRT-(tv tube). The tv video board that the board connect to the tv CRT-(tv tubbe). Those socket pins around the video sockets pins must be to do resoldering for a tight connections between the tv video boaard round socket pins to connections for a good connections to the tv video board and to the tv CRT-(tv tube). This will solved video fading in and out and loosing video picture.
If the coloured lines are in the edges, then there is absolutely no problem and it should not be visible from a viewing range of 1.5 meters and further. If the lines are in the middle of the screen, then your phosphor coating (the screen) is burnt. you need to buy a new one, since burnt screens are not repairable.
hi it sounds like a capacitor in the verticle circuit located on the main board. it is near the verticle ic. the verticle ic also could be bad the cost is around 85 dollars for a tv shop to fix. sometime a cold joint could be found around vert ic. a soldering iron is required with solder.tap the side of tv if picture comes back it is just cold solder joint.
CHECK SMALL TRANSISTOR LOC.# 7571 OR 7406 AND
COIL 5405 AND COIL 5402 CHECK CAPACITOR #
2404 AND2552 OR BUY A KIT FOR THIS TV IS COST A ROUND 8 DLL YOU PROBLEM YOU HAVE IN HORIZONTAL CIRCUITY IN YOKE CONECTION CHECK A RAUND
This mis probably a cold solder connection in the horizontal circuitry called the pincussion. Theres a couple of coils and resistors that overheat from time to time and the solder connections get loose. Not really for a handiman has this tv has hi vboltage inside even when turned off. Shouldnt cost an arm ans a leg to fix if the repair shop knows what they Are doing. Good Luck
Your problem is a common one and wht tells me this is when you wack the set. Theres a couple of coils that look like small towers that stand up and would have an L4#### number of some sort. They would be located toward the right side in the middle.. BUT for cryin out loud BE CAREFULL please!!!theres thousands of volts in a tv set. Oh and NO for sure this is not a Picture tube problem Good Luck
