I keep getting a "timeout error" at the end of set up instructions when trying to set up wireless connection of the Canon MP620 Printer with Airport Extreme. Message on printer says: Check wireless LAN access point. See access point manual.

Ive run the software on my macbook pro. the printer is found through use but not wireless. when i go into the printer under wireless LAN settings, push button settings i get the "timed out" error. was anyone able to run this printer wireless? I have verizon internet along with the verizon router. I think the printer is having trouble connecting because i have to enter a passkey to get on the router.

Not sure with Cannon but i have set up wireless connections You need to install software on the computer and if there is a option for wirless tick that one This needs to be done while to computer and the printer are connected with a USB Lead Once this is done and you can print with the USB lead (The USB lead needs to establish printer and settings) you can shift the computer reboot and try wireless Thats what I have done with most of the printers i have set up Some have wireless on the LCD screen on the printer under settings

I realize that you posted this question over a month ago...but I'll still give you your answer in case anyone else is also experiencing this.
All you need to do is enter in the correct password...the one you gave your router. Which I realize was probably a while back, and you didn't write it down (tisk tisk), so here's how you find out what you typed, way back when.
open up your internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, ect...). Now in the search bar type in your routers IP address.
mine is: 192.168.2.1
yours might be the same or might be something similar...like: 192.168.1.1
only type that, and include the dots...no www junk.
once you typed it in, hit enter.
and now you should be in your router...then steps hold true for all routers I believe (mines a belkin).
it will ask for a password, most people simply leave theirs the default password, my password was nothing....literally, I just left it blank and clicked 'next'. yours might be 'admin'...a google search should help you find your routers default password.
Ounce you have the routers password, you have access to change a lot of the routers features...including finding out that pesky passphrase that your in search of.

your welcome.
I accept cash & credit. I'll send you the bill. ;)

Got a new router and now can't use my canon mp620 wirelessly.

IT sounds like to need to reset up your printer for the new router:
Gather the following information from your router: • Access Point Name/Network Name: Also referred to as SSID. A name to identify the specific access point. • Network Key: Also referred to as encryption key, WEP key or WPA/WPA2 passphrase, Pre-Shared key if you used one
use the buttons of the front of the printer near your display to select Settings, then press the OK button
Select Device settings, then press the OK button
Select LAN settings, then press the OK button. Select Wireless LAN settings and update with the new information you collected earlier.
Hope this helps

Could not find any compatible access point nearby. check the connection settings in the menu "internet" and try again. For help, visit the web site support.nintendo.com ... Error: 051110

Hello,

Welcome to fixya.com we are here to try and help you with your nintendo Wii

This error message you are getting is indeed a error timeout that resulted in a mis configured access point or did not find a access point.

You might want to check your security settings in your router by accessing the router via browser using a computer at 192.168.1.1 putting in the user name and password as well.

You want to select 64 bit security encryption for your router so the Wii can understand it. Most AP's "acess points" use WPA or TSKIP witch the Wii might not see as use able.

You also want to make sure your access point is broadcasting as well.

if you need additional helps on this please respond with the type of router you have along with the model number.

Thanks for using fixya.com

regards,

Printer is not responding. Canon Mp 620. wireless. no problem with laptops or wireless network

This might happen if you recently reset/changed your internet access (e.g. resetting your modem and changing your access settings such as renaming an SSID access point, changing your access password, etc.). Reinstall the software and configure your network access settings (like you did when you first set up the printer - with USB cable. Refer to your manual).

Netgear was working now all it does is scann

Your Netgear adapter is scanning because it cannot find a wireless access point.

Make sure that the adapter is visable and not hidden behind your desk. The less objects between your wireless adapter and your wireless access point the better.

Locate your wireless access point. Make sure it is on and unobstructed.

If you don't have an access point then you are using someone else's access point. You need to go find them and find out why you cannnot connect to their access point.

Good luck!

If this helps please vote for my solution.
