SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Can the two transformers be hooked in parallel to service a 500 W zone?

If you are talking about low voltage light transformers, then answer is probably NO... but you could try it and see if it works... but I am almost certain that both transformers will probably burn out.
Output is 12 Volt AC... the transformer coils will probably burn out because the waveform from each transformer cannot be guaranteed to be the same.... even if both transformers are seemingly identical and plugged into same outlet.

For additional information, read transformer installation tips on following page.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Malibu-power-pack-stopped-working.html#install

Power company transformers can be wired together in specific ways to produce 3-phase waveform, but these transformers are specifically engineered for the task. And the transformers do not combine the output (as you would be doing with yard transformer), instead each power company transformer produces 1 leg of power in a 3-leg power supply.

GE microwave fuse model jes532wn rating 15v but what voltage rating: 120v or 240v ?.thanks

fuses do not have voltage ratings they are a current device. the 15 V does not make sense. It might be 15 A which is the current rating. A standing for Ampere which is the maximum current named after the discoverer of current creating magnetic fields being Andr?-Marie Amp?re in 1826. The 120v or 240v relates to the transformer design in the microwave. The transformer would be design to run on 240V AC 50 HZ AC like in Oz and UK or 120V 60 Hhz AC like used in the USA out of the power point from the power company.
Also the current relates to the voltage. So voltage divided by circuit resistance equals current.denoted by the formula I = V/R

Halogen Electronic Transformers

The dimmer might be the issue. I assume you have it controlling the primary side power/the windings that otherwise carry mains power. You do not mention the capacity of the dimmer, nor the manner- PWM or AC Chopper with SCR or Triac devces.

The amount of

It might be the dimmer is either seeing too much of a load- if the dimmer is only rated for 40 Watts for example.

Or

The dimmer may not be seeing enough of a load.

The power rating of the dimmer will limit the amount of power that can be drawn through it safely, and assuming a maximum of 70 Watts output, the input not counting various losses, will be the same- it is a matter of RMS volts multiplied by Amps. So for example on a line transformer fo 120 VAC in the US, on a transformer that outputs 70 Watts with a 12 volt potential is nominally 10:1 for a turns ration. 70 Watts on the secondary at 12 volts, is only 5,834 Amps, but on the Primary at 120VAC, the current being drawn is 0.5834 Amps, and on Euro Standard and other parts of the world on 250 volts AC, is drawing 0.28 Amps.

Since the dimmer is likely set up to draw the power it needs to operate from the circuit itself, there may not be adequate current draw for it operate correctly. Adding a capacitor in parallel with the dimmer (because a nonpolarized capoacitor will pass AC current) it will increase the load the dimmer sees.

If a dimmer is rated for 500 Watts, that is all that is should see as a load, so if you are putting those transformers in parallel, you are limited to 7 only for matters of safety- calculate your loads as maximum loads to size wire correctly, etc.

Schematic diagram example of AC DC regulated power supply 1.5volt to 35volt

You will need to add transformer and rectifier diodes before this circuit to be able to get the voltage you need.

See the link below of the regulated part of the circuit

Boosting output power

When you place the transformer in series you will be affecting the voltage on the output, placing them in parallel with give you the same voltage, but will increase the amperage output. Both transformers MUST be Identical. A switch must be used on the line side to disconnect Both simultaneously, for safety reasons.

When I turn my tv on it comes on for a sec then screen goes off and the standby blinks red. What is wrong with my tv?

Lets figure out the problem before providing a complete solution here.

The stnadby light should blink in a repeated pattern of a fixed count of blinks with a short pause inbetween. Please post that count. It will indicate the circuit that has the problem. Once we know that we can provide a solution.

Thanks,
Dan

yes right there is a short circuit in power supply if you are non technical then replace the power supply if you are technical then open the power supply and check the 4diodes of bridge if faulty replace it again check transistor attatched to heat sink if faulty repalce it

you can get one from an american supply near you. but you dont need one for a transformer. the istructions will be printed on the transformer. just put th high power where it is labeled and the low power on the other side. that is after you get a new one. also check to see if there is a fuse on the circuit board

GE Microwave Spacesaver shuts down and trips circuit

I would suspect your high voltage transformer has failed. Here is a link you or someone you know can use for test help, but read the safety warnings first:

http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/xformer.html

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
