Question about Crunch BlackMaxx BLX2000D Car Audio Amplifier
Hi,I have Pioneer DEH1530r and I just bought amp Crunch mxb2175 and Pioneer sub. I connected all wires( power lead to + battery, RCA 2 cinch, black earth lead) but amplifier green led never started on. I didnt connect remote turn on lead. I really dont know what to do, please help me. Thank you, Daniel
Your amp remote turn on lead supplies a tiny amount of voltage to your amp letting it know to turn on. if you never hooked this wire up from your receiver to your amp, of course it wont turn on.

The red light means the amp is in protection mode. A few things can cause protection mode..... First disconnect the subs completely from the amp, and turn it on, if it powers up you have blown subs. Also try checking the main power wire at the battery...sometimes the current your meter is seeing is backfeeding from the remote wire, so your main power line could be blown at the fuse under the hood. hope this helps

This may sound dumb, but are there any other inputs left on the amp? Most amps that i have worked with have a special set of inputs for high input. (by high input you mean speaker level right?) If those exist the obvious answer is to use those. They should be labeled, so just hook them up according to them. You may need a special adapter from the amp manufacturer. If you dont have any high level inputs or any not broken inputs left you have two options. You can either A: junk the amp or B: open it up and solder new connectors back on. (it sounds harder than it really is. There are four large pieces of metal to solder onto the board for a set of inputs)

SOURCE: Crunch GP 3000 D Pro
IM RUNNING 3 GP 3000S- IF YOU DONT HAVE 300 AMPS RUNNING TO IT IT WILL GO INTO PROTECT MODE .IF YOU DONT HAVE A GOOD GROUNH IT WILL ALSO GO INTO PROTECT.iF SUBS ARENT CONNECTED PROPERLY WILL GO INTO PROTECT.IF YOU HAVE THE GAIN SET TO HI IT WILL GO INTO PROTECT.BUT SEEMS YOU ARE NOT GIVING THE AMP ENOUGH POWER.WHICH WILL GET AMP HOT AND SEND IT TO PROTECT MODE..A STOCK BATTERY AND ALT IS NOT ENOUGH POWER FOR THE GP/3000 THEY ARE POWER HUNGRY.HAVE YOU DONE THE BIG 3 THAT USUALLY HELPS CONSIDERABLY. CHECK YOUR VOLTS WITH A VOLT METER ON THE SPEAKER TERMINALS.TURN IT UP AND SEE WHAT YOUR VOLTS ARE DROPPING TO ON HEAVY BASS NOTES.SHOULD NOT DROP BELOW 12 VOLTS. IF IT DOES POWER PROBLEMS.
