Question about Dell Inspiron 6400 Notebook
I have the problem on my battery.
It work normally 3 days ago, since i seldom bring away from home my laptop,
so i decided to takeout the battery.the problems occured yesterday i put back the battery it show the orange(amber) light when i start-up my laptop.
in the indicator battery it show orange-orange-orange-orange-green.
My I know what cause this problems?
And the usage battery become less than normal.
How old is the battery? The battery is considered a consumable product. It really has to be replaced usually after a year or so. You may try updating your computer's bios software though to see if it will correct it. Updating this software is a bit risky and if not done correctly may further damage your system's motherboard.
Click this to see the instructions on how to run the update.
Click this to start the update. It can only be run though if the battery still has 30% charge. If you get an error during the update, you must replace the battery.
