Question about GE JEM25 Microwave Oven
Hi - I have a GE Profile JVM1660SB microwave. A few months ago I noticed an occasional crackling / sizzling sound coming from the top right vent (inside) - directly above the keypad area. There is no visible sparks, smoke or smell. Now the crackling seems to be more often. It is only when the microwave is powered off. Thanks for any advice.
By "powered off" can I assume you mean that it is plugged in and at idle, not cooking, just showing the clock?
If so, I'd say your control board is failing.
If my assumption is wrong, please write back with more details.
