I have a D-link DI-624 that has been running for a few years. Recently, the desktop commputer will no longer connect to the default connection. It can see the default in the view wireless networks window, but when I try to connect, it states not connected. I have two laptops in the house and they are able to connect with no problem. I have already tried a re-installation of the GL-G250 Desktop adapter drivers. The D-link Icon in the toolbar is green, so I am assuming the card and ant. are working. An attempt at the repair newtork right-click option does nothing, but this is probably because I am not connected to begin with. What should I do?
I cannot connect to my local mail server ; but i have internet service with the same server. All of my setting are properly set according to the server , who says my router needs to be rechanneled to c.2 or c10????

Re: Can't connect to default network.
Try to power cycle your router. Unplug the power for 30 seconds then plug it back in. If that doesn't work, try to change the channel of the router. That should do it. If it still not working, there's a problem with wireless adapter's driver. You need to use update one.

Hi, when you reset your router the password is reset to default, and that default is admin admin. And to reset it, at the rear is a small hole in the hole is a button, remove from the power, and depress the button for a few seconds, then connect the power and try to logon again with your browser using the default settings.
It is also all explained in your user manual link below...
hold the reset button for 10 seconds then let it sit till the lights stop flashing. then you'll be able to log into the router w/ the default user/password which I believe is admin/password. the ip should be reset to 192.168.1.1 so type http://192.168.1.1 in your browser to log in.
Dear Werstellar, Try resetting the router back into default, you can do that by holding the reset button on the back of your router for 30 seconds the uplug the power, Once done connect a cable from a LAN port to your PC and connect the Ethernet cable from your modem to the WAN port of your DI-624. Open your internet browser and type 192.168.0.1 the log into your router. you can either run the wizard or go straight to manual configuration. for manual configuration connection type : choose DHCP. and then click on clone my Mac address. once this is done click save and reboot. then log back to your router by typing 192.168.0.1 into your internet browser and go to wireless set up under encryption choose WPA as it is more secure and then type your network ID (This will be a password for your wireless network and it has to be a minimum of 8 DIgits or letters or a combination of both. once done go to system from the menu and choose save and reboot. Now unplug the power for both modem and router, then plug the power for your modem first wait few minutes until all the lights on your modem are up then power up your DI-624 give it few minutes and you should be able to go online on both wired and wireless connection. any more help just ask
Access the configuration page of your router by default its 192.168.0.1, Login to the Dlink page by default the Username is Admin and Password is Blank and then reconfigure your router for Internet connection.
Yes, you can connect the DI-624 to your exitsing EBR-2310, you just need to connect the a cable from port 4 of the EBR-2310 to the internet/wan port of the DI-624, then after that you can already use now the wireless to your laptop and also the wired router to your desktops.
But I may suggest you to just replace the EBR-2310 with the DI-624 so you will only be using 1 router that can cater your laptop and also your desktop, Just connect the cable from your modem that is conencted now to your EBR-2310 to the internet/wan port of the DI-624 then run the setup CD that should be it.
Might I suggest that you reset the router to its default configuration by pressing and holding the reset button until it reboots. This way you will be dealing with the default configuration. Then try to use it. Remember the default login ID is admin and the password is Password or admin.
Lets hope this helps
