Yes. The buttons don't register (either the keyboard or the touchscreen) when you press them. Help!

The voicemail is held by your provider. they will either be able to tell you0 the password associated with the SIM, or you will be able to find out the password if the default has not been changed on their website.

Hi how do i turn my voicemail off please?

You can't.
There is one solution though, if you don't want to get notified each time you get a voice-mail. And that's to sign up for free google voice, and register your phone number with your google voice account. That way, you'll only get e-mails when you receive a voicemail.
Hope this helps.

Can"t clear voice mail box. I don't subscribe to voicemail but the message tells me the mailbox is full. How do I clear voice mail box?

FYI...
Voicemail is free no need to subscribe to (its your option to turn on or off)... press and hold down "1" key on cell or dial your cell phone number..once the answer machine starts press the "*" key...listen to options or if messages begin to play (while playing press "7" to delete)...in options you can choose to fwd calls, or not to plus other features...

I have no voicemail but the icon stays in the upper left part of my screen, I have taken the battery out & put back but to no avail. Any other suggestions?

have someone leave you a voicemail, then go somewhere where you get good signal to listen to it and then delete it, you need a good couple bars to get rid of the symbol, or thats how it was with my phone

Voicemail on G1

You don't "Pay" to listen to voicemail unless you have a prepaid account. It does however come out of your minutes. Anytime you are using your phone you are using minutes. Now, as far as someone leaving a voice mail on your number, it does use minutes as well, but each rate plan comes with 500 minutes for voicemail (you can see this on your bill).

Who's your carrier?

You can call 611 from ur phone for free and ask them what is the voicemail access number for your area code. You can also google the voicemail number it probably got accidently deleted and now u push and hold down #1 and nothin happens I am assuming.
