Question about Canon PowerShot SD750 / IXUS 75 Digital Camera
Hi, I'm not a complete computer idiot but for some reason my computer will not detect my Canon IXUS 80 IS even after I have completely installed the software and connected the USB to the camera correctly. There is no bubble on my screen which recognises that anything has been connected to it. Other USB devices are detected straightaway. I've tried the other USB ports but none of them work either. What could be the problem?!
What operating-system are you running?
On Windows XP and earlier versions of windows, there should be an icon on your desktop called "My Computer." Click on it once you've attached the camera. You'll at least see "Local Disk (C:), DVD/CD-RW drive (D:), Shared Documents, My Documents", and such. If your computer sees this USB camera, it should list it here. You can click on the camera's icon to view all your pictures.
On Windows Vista, getting to "My Computer" is a little bit trickier. I forget exaclty how, but it's not just set on the desktop like all previous Windows platforms.
