Make sure your Wii Remote(s) are synced, or make sure the sensor bar is placed and installed correctly. (pgs. 13-16 in Wii Operations Manual: System Setup.)

Turn off for a moment, try again, reconnect your controller.

Since its brand new, you can get it replaced if that doesn't work, dont waste your energy on it, just get another one, free replacement / warraty. Im sure.

When wii is turned on the start screen that shows the remot and asks to hit a comes up in three different languages can not move pass that? Remotes not responding

try syncing your remote by doing the following (and make sure batteries are good)
  1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.

  2. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up.

  3. Press and release the SYNC button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the Player LED will blink. Quickly press and release the SYNC button on the inside of the SD Card compartment on the console.

  4. When the Player LED blinking stops, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).

The Wii will not eject the game, the botton seems stuck

If a disc gets stuck in a Nintendo Wii, try holding the eject button down for five seconds and avoid pressing the button repeatedly. Try shutting down and restarting a Nintendo Wii that has a stuck disc with help from a technology specialist in this free video on the Nintendo Wii home video game console.

i do hope this will work out please snd me a confirmation if it does

Can not get past language screen

We had the same issue. Select your language first by pointing the controller and hitting the "a" button. Then, point the controller down to the bottom of the screen. There is a "confirm" or "OK" at the bottom right of the screen that you can't see.
