Auto Setup [set] -> Enter

I am stuck here with no original remote and the unit is asking me the following with a blue screen (with audio from the tv tuner in the background): Auto Setup [set] -> Enter I have used 4 different universal remotes and none successfully utilize the "Enter" button. So I sit here unable to backup my Tivo Stuff onto tape. I know, I will eventually purchase a DVR, but I am stuck. Please Help!

I agree with Techman. I also suggest that you try to program your your Universal Remote for SANYO, as a lot of the earlier Fisher Machines were sourced from Sanyo.

Re: Auto Setup [set] -> Enter

Im really sorry But theres nothing that can be done, unless you borrow a freinds fisher remote, or see if a local store has one you can borrow. You can purchase one at, but its probably going to cost at least a good 25 to 45 bucks. Borrow a freinds video machine that does have a remote or a new machine is only 40 bucks these days. sorry to have to deliver the bad news to you.

I have a Panasonic tv with omnivision vhs and fm radio, but no manual & no remote, I've plugged in cable tv and it works but l need to know how to run an auto channel setup and add and remove channels...

To do anything further, you should ave a remote control. There is no menu button to this TV at its front panel. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site Check this site too. Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops.

Hgow do i connect a toshiba dvr19dtkb2 to a sony dz260 thwen to the tv

Connecting this up will be easy. What you do is get a yourself a set of the right, for your setup, cables. That uses EITHER one of the formats, of these described, below. You will need, either, a THREE way Cable, or three separate " Coaxial Cored" Cables with RCA PLUGS on them. ColoredYellow, (Video) Red, & White. (Audio) AV. OR If you have SCARTConnection Sockets, it's a big Black Socket at rear of unit(s), you get aSCART Cable.& It's all inside. Now some units, use a standard calledComponent Video, that uses, a Green, Red, & Blue Plugs. Now, with the Component setup, you will also ,need, Two more Cables, for the AV Audio. these are, Red & White.(So with Component Video there are 5 Cables/Plugs in all). In any event ALL Cables go Color to Color, at each end, plugging into the corresponding Colored RCA Jacks, on either machine, or VCR or TV. Now if you have SCART, then it simply plugs in only one way. It is that simple. So connect up with the leads your set uses, and select the correct "Input" from TV/Remote, it is NOT on a "Channel" it will be on AV, AUX, and Press "Play" on VCR/DVD whatever.... should be all go.

Sony - SLV-685HF -vcr using universal remote one for all 3021 can't change recording from sp to ep so I can record more on tape. vcr says auto, or 180 in speed setting always records sp. I just want to pop...

I solved it myself by selecting guide on the remote, then the tv screen said enter plus code. ijust type in all 0's for each space given (0000000) then the setting instantly changrd to EP from SP. I pushed set on the universal remote , that was it.
It was necessary to use the power button to turn vcr off like tthe TV screen said because I was just setting the timer. You can just go to menu or whatever next.
I didn't appreciate FixYa trying to sell me a membership before even
attempting to offer a solution. They could have at least faked trying to find a solution. Instant response we would like to offer our premium services ....

No manual or remote

Following the instructions I have been able to program a Philips SRU4105WM/17 universal remote using the first Mitsubishi code from the code list. However, I had to have the universal remote "learn" the vcr/tv button function (I assigned it to the Exit button). Good thing I still have the original Mitsubishi remote:-) I haven't tried having the universal remote learn all the functions, such as Cancel, Counter Reset, Audio Function, Video Function etc. I could see if I'm able to program those, if you'd like. LMK if you have any other questions.

I can't get my cable to run through my sanyo vhr 5428 to display

You can't press enter without the remote. Your only hope is to go on eBay and search for the very same remote control. Be patient and check for a couple of weeks if you have to. Especially now that it's Christmas a lot of people will be selling their old remotes on eBay.

No remote or manual.

So we're basically screwed when the recording speed is stuck on SP? We can't change it??

I have a Sanyo VCR and just bought a universal remote, hoping that I'd be able to access some kind of menu to change the recording speed. I can't get it to change the speed, though.

Is there any hope for me?
