Camera beeps and shuts off

Turn the camera on the lens comes out, the green light flashes, the camera goes beep beep, beep beep and shuts off. I can look at photos but can't take anymore pictures. This is a month old camera. What is the problem here?

Frustrated...LG

Thanks for providing a potential solution, but I would not be happy spending 75 plus dollars to fix a month old camera. The camera has been sitting on the kitchen counter with the store receipt waiting for me to figure out what to do with it. Yesterday my husband bumped it and it fell on the hard tile floor. I figured that was really the end of it functioning at all. I sarcastically stated that maybe now it would work. I actually had tried tapping it gently as others had reported this as a way to solve the problem but had no luck with that suggestion. I picked the camera up off the floor and pushed the button and presto it now works fine. If others have the problem I suggest they drop their camera on a hard floor:) Happy again.

Casio Exilim won't turn on

My guess, only support people know what the two beeps mean.
Try to remove the battery and after a few seconds insert it again.
Then again switch on. If the error returns, contact the dealer or Casio support. Still it could be you think the battery is charged, but the capacity is not enough to power up your camera.

I turn camera on. Lens comes out. beep 3 times. turns off.

Everytime I try to turn it on, the lens comes out for about a second, the camera beeps 3 times, the lens retracts and the camera shuts off. The battery is completely charged and the camera is only 4 months old. HELPP :(

Camera Stuck with lens out. Beeps

I dropped the camera on the table a couple of times, twisted the front of it. Suddenly the lens retracted into the camera, the beeping quit, and now I can take pictures again. The Samsung website is horrible.

Camera won't turn on - makes strange sound

This is a very common issue with digital camera on either the lens gears have to be replaced or the lens barrel need replacing. I rebuild these lenses all the time for 75.00 plus shipping and the turn around is normally less then a week. if you still need help fell free to contact me at mike@digitalcamrepair.com

Camera will not stay on.....

the 3 beeping sound means that the camera has low battery capacity. the lens is stuck out because there is incorrect battery connection. there is an option on the camera setting for the battery type. try this one:
-turn the camera on
-click on Menu button
-select options using left/right, up/down button
-select Set up 2
-Select Battery type
-Select Alkaline for non-rechargable
or Ni-MH for rechargable
-click OK button

this setting should be done when using camera for the first time and whenever you are switching battery types, from rechargable to non-rechargable and vice versa.

Problem with i531

I had a Polaroid i531 that would beep 3 times then shut down & the lens wouldn't retract.

I fixed it like this:
  1. Inspect the lens from all angles and you'll see that the lens assembly is out of sync. (My was looking upward ever so slightly)
  2. Using gentle finger pressure, press in the opposite direction of the abnormal lens direction
  3. I heard a snap, then I powered the camera on.
  4. Camera now works.

Camera wont turn on!!! i hear gears turning

Fuji Technical Support team website is the place to ask for further advice. But if the camera is more than a ear old - replacement is the only remedy.
