One of my favorite stations was switched from channel 76 to channel 91, so now when I turn my tv to channel 91 all I get is the black screen with the av input display. I have tried doing the auto search to see if it would pick up the station, but nothing. I am wondering if there is a way to get channel 91 off av input and be able to pick up my station.

The television is an RCA model #F26050WN. I have discovered that this channel 91 only works on our HDTV. The other TVs in the house that are not HD do not get this station either. Could that be the problem? The station that I am trying to get is Soap Net.

Thanks for all your help. I was afraid the answer might be something like that. I do seem to have a signal issue with the higher channels.

Hi , Most older Television allow you to access the AV input line by selection a high channel. That is a normal function on your television. What are you trying to do since you do not have the remote control? Thanks, Mike

    Hi There,

Would you provide the brand and model number of your Television.
Also, I am curious cause switching frequency would not make a difference in the broadcast.. What is the name of that station.

    Thanks,
    Mike H

    Hi There again,

Thanks for all the information pertaining to your television.

Unfortunately, I have bad news. Your Television was design so that channel 91 is a dedicated switch for AV connection ( DVDd or VCR). Unfortunately, there is no way to remove channel 91 so that it can utlize TV tuner rather then AV. I am sorry, I wish I had good news.

As for the other Television, that is just a signal issue.

Thet signal is not strong enough under analog broadcast.

    All the best.

    Mike

Set up digital set top box

Either tune your TV to channel 2 or 3 or (on some TV's) to 91.
Then, connect the COAX-output from the set-top-box to the COAX-input on your TV, or connect the "output" Red/White/Yellow RCA-jacks on the set-top-box to the Red/White/Yellow "input" RCA-jacks on your TV.

Universal remote works for basics but won't change input

Rich,

good day , what button can you see infront of your TV screen?

Not familiar with this model but if you'll manage to locate a button marked as "TV/AV" or "AV" press this button until it the display switch to A/V mode (audio/video). Or if this is a really old model, from Tuner mode or channel model. set the channel station to 1 then press the " - channel " button and see if it will change from tuner mode to A/V mode

cheers,

Try the old RCA/GE channels of 90/91 or 92 to get to the inputs. Or try entering channel 00. Let me know if that works.
