Question about InFocus LP725 and LP735 Replacement Projector Lamp - SP-LAMP-LP7E Projector Lamp
I purchased a LP725 prjector with a broken lamp. SInce then I purchased a replacement lamp. The new lamp has only done approximately 300 hours (knowledge from the previous owner). A phusical and continuity check of the lamp reveals that the light is good to work. I installed the replacement lamp into the projector and turned it on. The fan runs up however the globe does not illuminate. Checking the manual that came with the projector, (there is not much information supplied in the manual, more like a glossy sheet about how to connect other peripherals to the projector) does not give me any advice on what is required for a replacement globe. What steps (please in specific details - like button resets, or globe hours etc etc reset or any other information that can help me in getting my projector work. Does anyone have a service manual for this projector as well?
KInd regards Joe
If you don't know exactly how many hours are on the new lamp, you can't be sure it works. since it's a mercury lamp, there will be no contenuity. check the lamp for cracks or clouding, not just burn marks.if the lamp is actually good, you may have a ballast issue.
