Hi There, Wish I had good news for you but unfortunately, sorry, I dont. If you are using store bought/rented disc, then the problem lies within the DVD player. It could be the circuit board or the optical lens. Contact the manufacturer for a replacement or an authorized repair facilty in your area. Thanks, Mike

Disc loads but will not play. Message: "the operation not allowed by this disc."


There are several things here.
Is the region code correct for dvd.
Is the disc compatible with the dvd.
If it is a recording on a blank dvd has it been finalised if it comes from another persons DVD.
Look in the front of your manual it will list discs that are are playable and not.

I have a Panasonic DVD F-65 Player. One of the discs is in the play position and will not come out. I have tried disc exchange, open/close, select another disc, etc. No dice. The disc selection lights...


the mechanism is now stocked. There is bad news because the service is needed now. It is possible to work on it but to determine how deep the problem went, the set has to be open to make a correct troubleshooting.

Switch on with no disk.

Open the draw

Enter 7777 on the remote (ignore the invalid entry message that comes up on the screen as you do this)

A menu will appear allowing you to switch regions

Not sure it's a solution, per se, but I discovered that my Matsui was acting as if I was opening and closing it, so I guessed that it was the lid. Once I put a paperweight on the "Press to Open" part of the lid, the DVD played through. I'm looking how to fix the lid but that's a workaround for now. Best of Luck - M

Change regional code to all to allow use of DVD`s frm USA


How to activate the multi-region functionality
1. Make sure the disc tray is open and remove any discs from the player.
2. Key in ‘7 7 7 7’ using the remote control.
3. Select region 0 for a region-free setting.
