MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT NEEDLE FOR THE THREAD YOU ARE USING, AND THAT THE SAME THREAD IS ALSO IN THE BOBBIN. CHECK UPPER TENSION, BY PULLING SLIGHTLY, IF IT'S TIGHT, LOOSEN THE UPPER TENSION.YOUR THREAD MAY BE THE WRONG SIZE OR TYPE FOR THE SPEED YOUR SEWING., and the needle your are using( sorry about the caps lock)

SOURCE: how do i stop juki ddl from top skipping stitches?

Hi. Skipped stitches are usually caused by a mismatch in your thread and needle. Wrong thread type, wrong needle size, or even old thread can cause skipped stitches. If all else fails, change the needle. If that doesn't work, clean the machine. Sometimes just getting rid of all the lint and giving her a good oiling does a world of good.

Let me know if this works.

I have a juki ddl 8700h when reverse its skipping how am i going to fix it

Generally the machine is making poor stitches going forward before it makes skipped stitches going backwards. Start out by correcting any tension imbalance first. Then:
  • I usually start with the simplest thing first. Put in a new needle and make sure the eye is straight so that the scarf of the needle is meeting the hook properly.
  • If it still skips, I look for places that there might me a flaw in my thread path. 1.) Is the thread coming off the cone properly? I follow the thread all the way to the needle to make sure its right. 2.) Did you break a needle lately? If so, it might have made a groove in the needle plate at the hole which you can sand out. Then, lean your machine back and run your finger around the edge of your hook. If there is a rough spot, use a piece of emery paper to smooth it out. 3.) Take your bobbin out and check to make sure that there aren't rough edges to the bobbin(throw it away if there are), then put a bobbin back in and see if the thread pulls out of the bobbin holder smoothly.
  • Then, I look at the underneath of the foot I am using to see if it isn't holding the material to the feed dogs firmly. If the foot is allowing the material to move up and down slightly with the needle, you will have 'flagging' and that causes skipped stitches.I generally try a couple different feet and see if it stops the problem.
  • Lastly, be sure that your needle and your thread are compatible with the material you are sewing. If you are using a needle that is too small to make a proper sized hole in the material for the size of the thread, you might have enough stress on the stitches to cause the skipped stitches.
  • Good Luck!

How do I stop my Juki DDL-8700 machine from skipping stitches?

set up on quilting table? wheres the oil pan?? if your machine sews fine straight and skips on curves i think you are lifting the presser ft as you make the turn. theres nothing wrong with the machine. you could always change the needle which is always the first thing when you encounter a sewing problem.

My wife broke several needles on her Juki DDL 555 machine and I need to know how to adjust the timing as she put a new needle in and the point was damaged

First thing to check is if you've got the right needle system: http://partsbooks.sewingmachine.com/Instructions/Juki/Industrial/DDL-5550%20&%205530%20Instruction%20Manual.pdf and that the needle is correctly oriented... the scarf has to be precisely set.
The next things I'd check are the stitch cycle -- hand crank the machine through the normal stitch cycle and see what's hitting. Then fix that. I've got my suspicions this may be a needle bar height adjustment. Don't thread up for this test... misthreading can also cause the needle to hit something and break, so start with the fewest possible variables first.

Juki skipping stitches

completely un-thread the machine and rethread it in this order.

Upper Looper, Lower looper, right needle Left needle. It has to be in that order ALWAYS. If you break a thread... un thread and start the threading process again.

If rethreading doesn't work... change the needle that is skipping.

Good luck

Skipping interlock, the thread are skipping

Skipped stitches
1. Is the needle bent
2. Is the needle inserted correctly
3. Is the machine threaded correctly
4. Is the pressure foot pressure right for the fabric?
5. Needle or thread are not suitable for the fabric
