Mp3 player not working

My JNC mp3 player recently started to not function properly. It does not let me play the radio or change any settings. Also, when I listen to the mp3's stored on it, there is a huge amount of distrubance coming from the player. At first I thought it was the headphones and changed them, but it still does not work. It is like a water noise coming from it. I have formatted it, yet still no difference. Is it possible that this problem arose because it was accidentaly on for a whole night?
Please help. Currently I am downloading the Firmware software. Is this beneficial?

Most of customer who case this matter, when they are still download or upload the data, which once case the system hang. Most of customer, accord to the following steps to format their mp3 player once, which can help them to solve this matter.
If there is no any improvement, please repeat step 1 to 3

- 1.Install the battery, Press and hold the “MENU” and “REC” button at same time to turn on your mp3 player.
- 2.Then you can see “MP3 PLAYER MATE V1.000” on the screen. But please remember don’t release the “MENU” and “REC” button.
- 3.Until the player enters to the MP3 mode. Then you can release the “MENU” and “REC” button.
- 4.Complete.
If there is no any improvement, please repeat step 1 to 3
