the computer controls and monitors many different things. there has to be something that the computer is looking at or controlling that is failing. Tat part that is failing is being overlooked. When the computer fails what is not working? That is what you need to figure out. Once that is figured out the part tat is not working can be repaired and then, and only then, can the computer can be replaced with the confidence of a proper repair.

There are four computers for this model, you can take the orginal computer to a auto parts store and buy a rebuilt computer and e-prom for your vin number then plugh the rebuilt computer with correct eprom and your ready to go. I believe there are six updates for the e-prom so be sure to have the orginal computer and e-prom number to replace it with exact one. Cost $125.00 Rebuilt maybe slightly more.
