Question about Sony KV-32S35 32" TV

Sony Trinitron I recently moved. My Sony Trinitron was working properly before I moved. now, the tv will not stay on. When I hit the power button the tv will flash on, and then instantly turn off. Any ideas? Should I take it in to have it looked at by a pro?

    Same problem,, tv will come on for a minute then from the bottom going up turns to black. I came move the tv on the stand a little and make the picture come back sometimes.

    I moved my kv-32s25 up from the basement (very heavy) and I must have been to rough and it quit working. Checked both boards for obvious problems but can't find any problems. Measures 120 volts at the board and the fuse is good also. Any ideas?

Just one question. Does the TV remain ON as long as u keep the Power Switch pressed in the ON position? I have seen plenty of faulty ON OFF switches in SONY! Just check if the above sympton is true. If yes, then it is a simple matter to get the switch replaced. If you are a good Handy man, and are used to neat and clean soldering, it is a D I Y job.

If your not a TV or solid state specialist, for sure as a TV set is no place to be experimenting inside of as it has no user replaceable parts inside them

My moms trinitron KV-20fs100 sony tv keeps blinking the red light in front. It takes her about 10 minutes, of constantly hitting the on button to get the tv to stay on. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Tv won't stay on push on button and shuts off w/in 2 seconds
common to having a flyback transformer problem. this will require parts replacement

  1. Turn TV on.
  2. Press and hold TV button and Power button until light stays on.
  3. Release both buttons.
  4. Aim remote at TV and press the power button every 5 seconds until TV turns off.
  5. Press stop button at bottom of remote.

Stop by any TV repair shop in your area, and ask to borrow a used original Sony remote, they may require a small deposit; access the menu, perform your set up, then return it. Or you could buy a universal Sony remote from Walmart that should work just fine, for about. $7.00.

TV turns on......eventually
check for a bad cap ,relay sound ok or could be a bad solder connection in the power supply at the regulators

KV-32V35 32 inch sony? I an only seeing snow and noise on the screen. When I auto channel, it will not pick up anything. Plugged in another TV and it works fine. Also, when I change channels, it keeps flipping to the same channel. If it is on 3 it stays on channel 3.
