Question about Microwave Ovens
My microwave door handle is broken. You have heard this many times. How do I remove and then replace the lower screw in the door handle. It is not visible from the inside or the outside. The upper screw removes easily from inside the door. This is the same problem I have heard about many times, but I have not seen an answer. Have I missed it? I am new to this support. If a part of the door comes apart to access the lower screw, which part is it and how is it removed? Thank you.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

No, this is not recommended. the newer microwave will not flash but, if you put aluminum inside, it will damage the Magnetron. this creates the heat and, if it is damaged, you will lose the heating action in this unit and the Magnetron is not a cheap replacement part.
I do not recommend inserting any aluminum objects at all.

around the door you will see a plastic cover strip. gently pry it off and under there you will find the screws to open up the door and get to the door handle screws. you dont have to worry about breaching the seal.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) here that demonstrates how it's done.
