Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-32FS16 32" TV
I just took in the set to get it fixed because it was shutting off after being on a few moments. The guy said he couldn't get the part he needed and dropped it back off. Now it stays on but there is a rainbow going in different directions on the screen. There are green, blue and red stripes that do not touch each other but go parallel. Is this from a magnet? Can I fix this without taking it back in?
Sounds to me the set was handled rough,Mabe landed on it's face in trandsport? Or dropped on a corner of the cabinet? check for dents or bruses on the cabinet. Otherwise go back to the shop where it was sapose to be repaired and explain what you have to the personin chargeand ask if they would try to demagnatise the set for you, they could have left the demag/coil plug out and it can cause the sametype problem. Good Luck Walter
