Type your model into Google, add "AC adapter", then click "More>>" and choose Froogle for shopping choices. is one good source.

Problem with the tape transport mechanism; could be the rollers are not contacting the tape itself or it could be the springs in the transport. Sounds like an older model. Could clean the rollers with alcohol and swap and if you can open it a like observe what happens with the rollers when you place in playback. These are rather delicately adjusted machines. I would again 1) try cleaning as best you can and very light oil in moving joints/gears aferward. 2) check adjustment of springs when moving from stop to playback. Once you have that whipped the record mecanism may start working as well.

I don't have any power (battery or power supply) to the unit, is there a way I can manually extract the tape in the unit without taking it apart before sending it for repairs.

There is no way you can do that without taking it apart you have to have it unscrewed. Otherwise you have to look for a battery of the same power and connect using wires assuming that your camcorder can open when there is power. The other solution is to buy a universal power supply that can help temporarily to operate the camera fr taking out the tape. You have to be careful though when you use the universal power supply to set the recommended power first which is written under the camcorder. good luck.

Panasonic PV-GS19 Mini DV Digital wont turn on

I have about 2 dozen of these that my students use at my school and the power supplies are kept in a locked room only to be used by me. The reason? They get easily damaged. The little metal part that plugs into the back of camera is often the culprit. If the power supply/charger is pugged in and the metal tip at the other end touches anything metallic (keys, metal tripod, etc.), it will short out and render the unit useless. If the amber light doesn't go on on the charger, and you are sure you it properly connected to a power source, then my guess is that it's a damaged power supply. You can purchase a new one online at Panasonic Go to this link and click on the Parts locator link near the bottom of the page.

My camcorder is turning off by itself.

For Models: CC4252, CC4352, CC4362, CC4392, CC4393 If your camcorder is left in Record-Pause or Play-Pause for several minutes, it turns off automatically to prevent wear on your tape. Set the CAMERA/OFF/VCR switch to OFF and then to CAMERA or VCR to turn it back on.

My camcorder doesn't work

For Models: CC4252, CC4352, CC4362, CC4392, CC4393 You need to reset your camcorder. Follow these steps: * Remove the power source. * After one minute, gently press the RESET button with a nonmetallic pointed item until you feel a "click." This resets the camcorder to the factory settings and erases the date, time, and custom settings. * Wait for at least one minute after resetting the camcorder to attach a power supply.
