Question about Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus Calculator

1 Answer

Deleting programs from my calculator "texas instrument TI-83"

I received an used calculator and i found out that the answers it was giving were incorrect, i also saw that there was a whole lot of files that are not supposed to be there when i pushed de button "PGRM", they have file names like "A", "A2B2C2" and "YYYYY" i think it is the problem because it is not normal and it is the only thing that is different form the other TI-83's.

If it's a TI program, you can download it from

Otherwise you'll have to get it from where you originally got it. In either case, you'll have to connect the TI to your computer using a USB cable and transfer the program.

I have a TI-83 and I need to delete programs. How do I do that?

Start with 2ND [MEM]. Select Mem Mgmt/Del... Select either All or Prgm.
Use Up and Down to navigate the list, and press Del to delete the current item. There will not be a confirmation request, so be careful. Once you delete something, it's gone.

I am in a math class and i have a TI-83 plus calculator and we are doing stuff with polynomials. how do i type in to it something like (5x)(6x) and get the answer 30xsquard

ahh well maybe i not familiar enough but i think you need programs 2 do that, you get a usb cord wire and look up for free program from ti site they should have it there and then you can download some program and run it.

to clarify your problems type ti-83+ on google and see the texas instrument site where they should have program and cord for sale.
