how to reduce cpu load
I have the same problem.
This Problem has been added to the Share Your Expertise Page under "My Work Queue".

trying to put down drum tracks from Digitech RP200 always overloaded, no
matter how low I input the trax. Also cannot figure out how to hear the first track down to play along with a 2nd, 3rd, & 4th

CTRL + ALT + Delete to open the task manager. Go to processes and close some programs that aren't needed.

go into services on vista and turn off superfetch. this will free up a lot of memory, and reduce cpu usage!!

tweak your computer , remove unnecessary programs from control panel, use some antivirus and firewall which comsumes less system resources.

Just install Tune Up utilities software and clean all temp files and registry errors.. download utility software from http://www.tune-up.com/

I would suggest also downloading Security Task Manager, as it supplies info of unwanted installed & unshown processes, and gives the rating whether its an adware or safe.
