Re: sound clarity

I would suggest also downloading Security Task Manager, as it supplies info of unwanted installed & unshown processes, and gives the rating whether its an adware or safe.

Re: sound clarity

CTRL + ALT + Delete to open the task manager. Go to processes and close some programs that aren't needed.

Windows 7 takes too long to load

Define "too long". Seconds? Hours?

How fast is your CPU? Single-core? Dual-core?

Have you recently DEFRAG'd your disk-drive (or has Windows automatically done it for you, once a week) ?

How much RAM in your computer?

What programs are loaded at start-up? Anti-virus?

Why does my windows 7 max out all four of my quad-cores cpu when coming out of sleep mode? I've already replaced a power supply. Any suggestions.

Hello there,
There are probably multiple programs that run on start up that is causing your system to work hard. To resolve this issue, click on the start button and search for "msconfig." Open up Msconfig.exe and head over to the Startup tab. Uncheck anything that you do not immediately need and restart the computer. This should resolve the issue. I hope this helps! Thumbs up are much appreciated.

Drawings are slow to open and often freeze. While working in drawings measuring etc the program freezes.

it shouldn't be - A9 was carefully written to reduce loading times It sounds as if you don't have enough Ram depending what OS and other programs you're running, you may simply be running out of memory and forcing use of the swapfile.

How to reduce rendering time in adobe premiere 6.5

Rendering time is controlled by the speed of your computer, both the cpu and the amount of available memory. The faster the pc, the faster it will render. It is also controlled by how large the file is you are trying to render. It is not a setting you can adjust from within primiere.

You laptop may need a upgrade and may not have the recommended hardware, space e.t.c. look on the back of the game box and see if your laptop meets the requirements, if not then you will need to upgrade that part in order to get the game to work.

Midi Trouble with Reason

It is possible that your PC is too slow, but there may
(of course) be other causes

I have experienced a situation with Adobe Audition, causing
recording drop-outs when my PC got too busy.

To test this theory:

1) Shut down all unnecessary applications.

2) Go to the command prompt and disable the internet:

type: IPCONFIG /release.

to restart it later, reboot the machine or type:

3) Go to the task manager and stop all unnecessary

press: control-alt-del at the same time and then

choose the "processes" tab

right click on each process you don't need
and stop the process

4) You should be able to reduce the number of processes
into the low 20's, but you need to keep the following:

a) Your midi application (Reason etc) of course

b) alg.exe
svchost.exe (all of them)
system idle process

5) Now go into the control panel --> administrative tools ->
services and stop all unneeded services

(the system will not let you stop anything essential)

6) Don't worry about stopping tasks and services,
they will all restart to normal when you reboot the

7) Go back into the task manager and right-click your
midi-application. Increase its priority to HIGH,

but NOT real time, because this may cause windows
to hang.

8) If your midi acquisition improves, then speed is the problem,
otherwise, look elsewhere:

a) re-install audio and midi drivers
b) make sure the mixer and control applets are correctly
configured, i.e make sure the midi is not muted.
e) make sure the midi application is allocated the
max amount of memory, if it has a setting for it.

9) I am assuming that you are running Windows XP.

If your PC is too slow do NOT use Vista !!!!,
which makes things much worse, at least
by a factor of 4 to 1

Do not install XP service pack 3 either,
its bloated with anti-piracy **** and DRM.

10) Finally, for audio work, I would recommend
a minimum system with:

a) Pentium III 800 MHz or better yet a Pentium IV
at 1.5 GHz or faster.

b) One Gbyte of RAM to make sure your machine is not
disk bound. This is much more important than a fast

Disk is approx. 10 million times slower than RAM,
so this can become a very significant bottle neck.

c) Windows XP pro, SP2 (not 3)

d) Depending on your video card, i.e. the amount of
workload it handles for the CPU, you may also reduce
the screen resolution, and disable desktop effects
to speed thing up.

Adobe audition, for example will perform more reliably
on slower CPU's when the GUI window is kept small
in waveform or spectrum display during recording.

Good luck,

P.S. I use Adobe Audition for most of my recording and
audio processing. System = Core 2 Duo /2.4 Ghz,
4 Gigs of RAM (only 3 Gigs are accessible from 32 bit
windows XP), 1300 Mhz front side bus, 3.5 Terra Bytes
of hard disk, of which 1.5 Terabytes are configured as

Speed and storage is no longer an issue :)
not even for HD video processing.
