Rear speakers dont play with connection box

My head unit works fine and when im listening to the radio the rear speakers and sub work fine, but when i plug my mp3 player into the connection box it stops playing from the rear and just plays out the front door speakers. Im not sure if its because its not compatible with an mp3 player or if it would work if i connected a dvd changer. any help would be greatly appreciated, thankyou.

I believe this is a wiring incompatibility problem. The reason I say this is because when the mp3 player is out the jack which contains switches engages the front L&R and the Rear L&R, when the plug is inserted into the jack the jack switches should remove the audio input to the amplifier and replace it with the audio from the mp3 player. The switches should then send sound to the front L&R and the Rear L&R but the only change should be that the mp3 player is switched in instead of the audio from the raido unit. what is happening is that the jack switches are only switching in the front L&R speakers. This just might be a function of the unit. check the owners manual. here is a site that has the manual: http://www.docs.sony.com/release/XAV7W.PDF

Toyota Corolla 1997 I've installed kickers in the rear (KS series to match the front)... had those going for a couple of weeks with no problems. Yesterday i went to install the KS400 series in the...

take one of the front speakers out and pull out the head unit and unplug a set of audio wires(front right, front left ect.) and hook it up directly from the radio to the speaker there for bypassing all the cars wires. If it works then there's a problem with the car's wiring(maybe an inline amp). If it doesn't work, then try a known good speaker from somewhere else(home stereo speaker for example) and connect it to the radio, if the speaker works, your radio is fine and there may be a problem with the speakers. If it doesn't work then you have a problem with the head unit.

When playing cds in my sony cdxgt500 the sounds come throught the door and rear speakers fine, but not through the subs. everything works as it should while playing the radio.

Hello.... it sounds like you have the remote wire for the amplifier hooked to the solid blue wire behind the radio. You need to hook to the blue/white wire behind the radio. What happens is that the solid blue wire turns on the power antenna when you are listening to the radio and it turns off (lets the antenna down) when you listen to a cd. There should be a blue/white wire that is the amplifier turn on wire that will stay on as long as the head unit is on. Hope this helped!

Bought a LG Blu ray DVD Home theater system last weekend and set up with LG lcd tv and has been working fine till today. We had the radio on and I turned the TV on and the two rear speakers do not work...

Hello,
In a surround sound system, the correct way to listen to music is in stereo mode which will play out of your left and right channels and your subwoofer. When viewing a movie with surround sound, then you should use your rear speakers. The key element to remember is that rear speakers are only intended to play your sound effects, and will not play full range audio. Thats what your fronts and center are for. If you simply want to override this, than you will need to select the direct sound field on your receiver and than it will send full range audio to all speakers connected. Most likely, its not going to sound that good. If you dont know what each sound field does, here is a list and function of the most commonly used ones.
Stereo-Front Left and Right speakers including subwoofer
Dolby Digital or PLII Movie-these are the bost options for your surround sound
Direct-All speakers connected get full range signal

Rear speakers do not work

Either the balance is off on the head unit, or the the out puts (in the head unit) for the rear speakers are blown.

Installing subs, how to use rc converter

from the rc converter i connected to the rear speakers taking both positive (left and right) to the positive on the factory speakers, then done the same with the negative (left and right) to the negative of the factory speakers. i connected with a quick connect. then from the converter to the amp using rc's. since my battery is in the trunk, the only wire i had to run through the car is the remote wire from the radio to my amp and then my subs to my amp.

Rear door speakers don't work w/ aftermarket radio in 94 suburban

You need to attach the blue wire on the stereo harness to the blue and white wire on the car adapter harness. they installed a small amplifier to power the rear door speakers and unless you connect those two wires then the speakers will not work.

Subwoofer.......

Please check your model number, I can not find it on the JVC service website.

This is a powered sub-woofer I think. You need to have a thick black cord that connects the sub to the head unit. Then the satellite speakers get connected to the speaker jacks on the sub-woofer box. The sub-woofer should also be plugged into an A/C outlet on the wall.

The speaker outputs are labeled right there where you connect the speaker wires. You should see a red and black connector for each speaker and they are labeled "front right" "front left" "center" "rear right" "rear left".

If you do not have the thick black cord you need to connect the head unit with the sub-woofer, you can not use this system.

If you look at the head unit and give me the model number on it, I may be able to find the part you need. But I must have a good model number to work with, preferably from the head unit.

Wireless speakers

You should have two pieces for your wireless rear speakers setup. A. a wireless card inserted behind the all in one receiver. B. the receiving box that will connect to the 2 rear speakers. Also, you should not have any obstacles to block off the line of site for the rear speaker receiving box to the wireless card.
Best way to test it is too simply leave the rear speakers connected to the rear speakers receiving box on the floor near the a/v receiver with dvd player built in.Play a dvd and see if you have sound coming out from the rear.
