Rear speakers dont play with connection box

My head unit works fine and when im listening to the radio the rear speakers and sub work fine, but when i plug my mp3 player into the connection box it stops playing from the rear and just plays out the front door speakers. Im not sure if its because its not compatible with an mp3 player or if it would work if i connected a dvd changer. any help would be greatly appreciated, thankyou.

Re: Rear speakers dont play with connection box

I believe this is a wiring incompatibility problem. The reason I say this is because when the mp3 player is out the jack which contains switches engages the front L&R and the Rear L&R, when the plug is inserted into the jack the jack switches should remove the audio input to the amplifier and replace it with the audio from the mp3 player. The switches should then send sound to the front L&R and the Rear L&R but the only change should be that the mp3 player is switched in instead of the audio from the raido unit. what is happening is that the jack switches are only switching in the front L&R speakers. This just might be a function of the unit. check the owners manual. here is a site that has the manual:

How do i wire up m Kenwood KVT-696 so that i can play DVD's, it shows a blue screen saying 'parking off' do i connect my AV in or AV out cords coming from the head unit?

For safety, the KVT-696, like other 'head units,' is design so that, properly installed, it will only work while the vehicle is in Park, with the parking brake ON. Makes sense if you think about it. Hey?

hook blue wire to ur radio to amp remote

On the Back of the DVD Player there are probably two blue wires. One is for the amp turn on and the other is the power antenna wire. Whats happening is when you turn the radio on the blue used for the power antenna is trigger and puts out a 12vlt signal to push the power antenna up.. So when you look at your factor car sure the wires are correct..on one wire is gonna be for the amp turn on and the power antenna. use the amp turn on the to a different wire that is connected to the factory amp. You can get a diagram from your dealership. With the correct wires in the right positon, you will get sound out of your vehicles speakers.

Monitor will not show dvd

you need to put the dvds handbrake wire to a suitable earth point and then your dvds will play fine i think the wirings colour is a yellow with a blue tracer line on the wire if its an alpine dvd player and the same is on all the monitors themselves that wire will have to be connected to a good earthing point but luckily on the monitors they have a black earth wire running to them so just splice that yellow/blue wre into the black earth wire on each headrest monitor !
