I was having the same problem as a previous poster. "My sidekick 3 wont charge by itself. i either have to put something up against it or play wth the wire." After a while that stopped working altogether and my phone wouldn't turn on because it couldn't be charged. I had a warranty plan on the phone and equipment replacement. I called T-Mobile and they gave me some horse hockey about how someone used my phone before me to make a call or something and so that voided the warranty. Hunh? I explained that I bought the phone at a T-Mobile store and saw it get activated. If someone did anything to the phone before me, then it was a T-Mobile employee. they still refuse to fix my phone.
Is this because they dont want to take the phone back or what? I just want it fixed.
Please help! I spent like $400 on this phone.

turn off your phone. then remove the battery for 5 minutes. also make sure your charger is not plugged in. then put the battery pack into the phone. it should clear up. also you might have over charged the battery. another solution is to buy a new battery pack and if that does not work your phone is acting up on battery basis
The sidekick ID charging port can go bad like the sidekick 3's. An easy workaround is to get an external cradle that has a spare battery charging slot.
The trick is that the sidekick 3 and sidekick ID batteries are the same so the sidekick ID battery can be charged by the external cradle. An extra battery is a good idea as well so you can have ine charging at all times.
dnt drain the batteries of your phones...if that happens pls buy multicharger or battery shock, remove the battery..... charge it for about 5min or shock the battery if ur using battery shock...be sure u positioned it ryt....den put it back on ur phone then charge it or continue the charging on the multicharger until its full !!!!im pretty sure of it....im encountering the same prob as urs before and thats what i did and it work!!!!
