Conexant PRISM GT 802.11g Wireless LAN (3886)

Hi Bounthavee S,

I understand that you want to disable wireless LAN

In router :

Open Internet Explorer
Go to 192.168.1.1

This is home page of router

Type the following user name and password when prompted

User name admin
Password admin

Click on LAN Settings on the leftside menu

Right side, you may find option to disable the Wireless LAN

Click on Save settings at bottom

Router will reboot and take 3 to 5 minutes

Check if the Wireless LAN is disabled.

In one computer :

We need to disable the Wireless Adapter

Goto Start >> type devmgmt.msc in the search box and press enter

This will take to you Device manager

Expand the Network Adapter

Right click on 802.11 (wireless adapter) and select disable.

This will disable the Wireless LAN only in this computer

Have try to download it from the net? if you don't the software.

Please open the router setup page with the address 192.168.1.1 which is default ipadress

>This will ask you for the username and password.
Leave the username blank and in the password type admin which is default .
>Open the router settings page and go the wireless settings Tab.
>Under the basic wireless settings Change the wireless channel to 6 which is best compatible channel.
>click on the save settings and exit out of that page.


>Restart the router after.

Please check your Firefox's connection is OK for LAN or not.

Tools -> Internet Option -> Connections -> LAN

Please check no proxy or port is their in your firefox LAN.

To find out your mac id do the following:
1) make sure wireless is on

2) open wireless lan settings (goto start -> settings --> wireless lan)

3) click on advanced tab

To install audio / modem drivers, first download and install Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio (sp32646):

Conexant CX20549-12 Audio Driver for Microsoft Windows XP (sp36090.exe) (UAA Driver needed)

This will create a swsetup folder in C drive ("C:\sp36090")

Installing this driver may result in an error. But continue with the following steps to get the audio driver installed correctly.

1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.

2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click Update driver.

3. Select "Install from a list or specific location"

4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install"

5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the list.

6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.

7. Click Browse C:\sp36090 folder and select the .inf file (CpV30D5a) and click open and Continue with the onscreen instructions.

Conexant CX20548 Modem Driver for Microsoft Windows XP (sp36089.exe) (UAA Driver needed)

Go To Contol Panel >> Classic View >> Toshiba HW Setup >> LAN tab >> Wireless communication Switch >> ON!! ( turn it off and on again)
** If on try >> Wake up on LAN >> ON!!

Its dilip how are you ,hope fine .for audio drivers you have to download microsoft universal audio file ,and then conexant high definition audion ..so first install the microsoft universal audio.and then conexant audio drivers
