I have a Viewty KU990 pelephone. Because I live on the first floor, I have very poor reception with it. The only way the person on the other end can hear me is if I go all the way to the balcony of my apt, which is at the very end of my apt and is therefore very inconvenient. I then have to stay there for the entire duration of the call. It occurred to me that since the phone can do Bluetooth, once I answer a call, I should be able to leave the phone on the balcony, put on a Bluetooth headset, and then continue the conversation anywhere in my apt. My question is whether I am correct, and if I am correct, whether there is a specific type of Bluetooth headset that won't work with my Viewty.

Re: Bluetooth with my Viewty
This is an excerpt from http://www.mobileinfo.com/Bluetooth/FAQ.htm Q: What is the range of Bluetooth transmitter/receivers? A: Bluetooth is designed for very low power use, and the transmission range will only be 10m, about 30ft. High-powered Bluetooth devices will enable ranges up to 100m (300ft). Considering the design philosophy behind Bluetooth, even the 10m range is adequate for the purposes Bluetooth is intended for. Later versions of the Bluetooth spec may allow longer ranges. and possible headsets are from(site only for examples of bluetooth headsets, please do see other sites) http://www.mobilecityonline.com/wireless/store/productaccessory.asp?productid=22709 as mentioned the maximum range is 10 m,do see if that helps u..also bluetooth on can drain the battery faster.. hope it helps!regards!

I think that the bluethoot of your pc or your LG KU990 (Viewty) Has no name.
Your bluethoot address have a IP address but for the windows you need to put nthe name.
Give your device a name that windows can find and vise versa.
Most bluethoot softawe find the phone but sometimes you have to it in a otherway.
Remove the item in the profile list of your bluethoot software that you made it for the phone.
Now sometimes you have to turn off and on your phone cause there will be a program still running on the background of your phone.
So when you want to find your LG KU990 (Viewty)
you have to do it vise versa.
Find your Pc or Laptop with your LG KU990 (Viewty) in this way the bluethoot will find the address and ask you for a security code.
In this case you can make a password.
EXAMPLE 1234 or NicKy what ever you want.
Then the bluethoot software will setup the modem
drivers of your phone so you make an connection
with the bluethoot.
Sometimes you have to reinstal the drivers to make the software work correctly.
I hope this will help you out.
Fallow the steps when the drivers will be ready to install.
Do you mean you want to tranfer audio files or music files from your computer to your phone so you can enjoy music on your device? If so let me tell you that BLUETHOOTH or the SOFTWARE CD are not the best or fastest ways to sync or transfer files from your computer to your phone or vise versa, so Im going to tell you the safest, fastest, and Easiest way to do it, using your USB ,but it may require you to change settings manually on your device first. Make sure you have a Memory card, Choose settings for USB connections 1.Find "USB connection mo..."
Once you've done this and have your memory in your device, Open the MY COMPUTER folder in your computer and connect your device to your computer using the USB cord, a new Icon will appear containing the folders from your device's memory card, that way you will easily be able to transfer files back and forth without the NEED of any sofware Cd's or use slow Bluethoot.
