Question about Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z700 Digital Camera
I bought the casio ex-z700, used it once to take pictures of my babies at the daycare center I work. The camerra was not dropped or mis used in any way, that night I placed it on the charging stand that came with it over night, next morning I removed it to take pictures of my children at the park when we arrived I turned it on and it gave me lence erro and shut down on its own no lens came out or anything. Nobody could of dropped it since it was up high above my childrens reach. Tryed taking it back to the store I bought it, lost recipt no refund, tryed sending it to Casio no responds. I have payed alot just to have it in the box waiting for it to get fixed.
Casio will fix it but there would be a fee. A lens error means that there has been some kind of damage done to the lens gears. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done by the consumer, it is something that has to be sent in. Call repairs at 800-706-2534 option 2 and tell them you have a lens error and have talked to tech support already. Otherwise they will make you call tech support. :) They will tell you where to send it.
