DACOR PGR 30 Error code 1

The gas oven/stove displays a F-1 error intermittently and it starts beeping, when I turn the circuit breaker off it resets and it happens again anywhere from 1-24 hours. The problem occurs without using the unit.  I have already replaced the circuit breaker and the same issue persists.
Thanks.   Jake

Hi The range timer is usually located in the control panel on top of the range. If you suspect the timer is faulty, don't try to fix it yourself. Remove it and take it to a professional service person for testing. Here's how to remove the timer:

Step 1: Remove the back service panel to the control panel and release the spring clips that hold it in position, or remove the retaining screws.

Step 2: Push the timer forward to release it.

Step 3: Remove the electrical lead wires from the timer housing. If, when disassembling the timer, you notice that the electrical wire terminals look burned, remove these leads and buff the leads and the terminal points with fine steel wool. Burned and/or dirty terminals can cause the timer to malfunction, but a good cleaning can solve this problem.

Step 4: Replace the old timer or install a new one of the same size and type, if this is necessary. Connect the new timer the same way the old one was connected.

    if problem with control panel
When the oven setting control malfunctions, the oven won't heat. Here's how to repair an oven setting control:

Step 1: Remove the control knob

Step 2: Remove the back service panel or the front panel, if necessary. Remove other control knobs as needed to remove the panel. The oven setting control is located directly in back of the control knob and is usually held to the control panel by two screws.

Step 3: Testing the control with a volt-ohm-milliammeter (VOM) is not recommended, because the results will not always be conclusive. If you suspect that the setting control is faulty, the best procedure is to substitute a control that you know is working, or you could simply replace the faulty control with a new one made for the oven.

Step 4: Disconnect the electrical lead wires from the control terminal and lift out the control. Connect the new control the same way the old one was connected.

Hello jakeddoc
Welcome,

You said, your get a recurring F1 beep even after I press "reset" I worked with the oven for about 2 hours trying various combos of opening the oven, pressing cancel and trying to perform various functions (light, clean, bake, broil, etc.) to no avail. I got it to stop for about an hour at one point, but it started right back up again. It also seems that every now and then the oven light will come on all by itself during one fo these alerts

Please send me your complete model number including the single diget at the end of the model number.
For example: FGB24S5AW1
Then I can be sure!!!!!!!!!!!
Waiting your response. I'll check for it through out the day!
And get back to you as fats as possible so you can take care of it tomorrow!

Huuum

In some ovens It could be failure of your, EOC (Electronic Oven Control) failure

Try first unplugging power cord for ten minutes, and see if this clears the error message.

F1 means Element Relay Board error.

If the oven is not heating, that means that the Element Relay Board is faulty, the element is not powered and the oven won't bake.
You can find replacements and diagrams to locate the board here. Just click and insert the exact model number.

If the oven is heating normally, then it is a logic error on the main control assembly, stuck with Element Relay Board error, that otherwise is powering the oven regularly.
Sometimes in this case you replace the Element Relay Board and the error stays there. See here :Dacor Oven F1 Error

If you need to call a technician, or to get parts, you can also use the phone number listed on the owner manual to get in touch with Dacor.

Dacor PGR 30 oven does not heat

I have had the same miserable experience - replacing the brain, touchpad, expensive parts - for this supposedly high-end appliance.

Have you checked the ignitor bar? See a good explanation of that at http://www.ignitors.com/oven-ignitors/
and also http://www.theignitorstore.com/product/frigidaire_oven_range_igniter_5303935066/range_oven_igniters

My Dacor PGR-30 oven won't heat. It stays on 135 degrees. There are no codes set.

Called Dacor with same problem. They said the high temp switch needed to be reset but wouldn't tell me how to do it.

Looked at another site and found out how. On double oven remove grill that latch sticks out of. There should be 6 screws. On left side is a switch with a red button that faces inward. Press this button until it clicks. Test oven by turning on to see if this fixes problem. It did for me.

Rescrew grill back on being careful that the latch continues to line up with the door.

Timer tone goes off with F1 display

Hi arl3933,

The "F1" error code description is a System Watchdog Circuit. Please press "CANCEL", if beeping continues after 30 seconds, please check the main control board(ERC). Here are basic test that will help you to determine if the ERC or touchpad is defective.

1. Unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker.

2. Gain access inside the control panel.

3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.

4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.

5. Turn the power back on.

6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the code comes back.

7. If F1 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Dacor ERDS30 clock and display OK, all bake buttons non responsiv

Most likely the interuption of power is what caused the problem. try shutting down the circuit breaker that controls the range for 30 minutes then turn it back on if this does not reset the electronics. You may need to replace the keypanel and /or electronic control as either or both may have been damaged by the power surge.

Have a magic chef oven, f1 display after self cleaning, stove top works fine, any thoughts

F-1 is a fault code.

Disconnect the power plug or turn range power off at circuit breaker. Wait a couple of minutes, then plug the range in or flip the range circuit breaker to ON.

Oven control beeps & displays any F  code error (for example
F11) - Electronic control has detected a fault condition. Press
CLEAR/OFF to clear the display & stop beeping. Reprogram
oven. If fault recurs, record fault number. Press CLEAR/OFF
contact an authorized service agent.
