Question about Dell Dimension 4600 PC Desktop
Is it possible to run the compter through the tv--or connect to tv---thanks.
Both my TV capture card and my video card have svideo jacks but my tv has a/v jacks. I bought a cable on Ebay that has an svideo plug on one end and a/v (red, white, yellow) plugs on the other for really cheap and it works fine. What I found harder to do was setting up my pc to see the tv as a second monitor... keep in mind that I'm a total novice lol

Yes it's possible but you need a tv card the s video on the computer is usaually to send the signal out on the computerand the tv must have a s video input side now if it does you should have a special display area that let's tou output nthe computer to the input of the tv and the tv input is set to s video then once you apply or ok the settings on the computer the computer should send either an extended desktop, a clone of the desktop or send the entire desktop to the tv leaving your monitor blank... only if your diplay setting has the option to send out to s video or output settings depends on video driver and card and i be surprise if that s video is a input card for vcr transferring if it does then you will need pinnacle software and the device sometimes have the s video connecttion for rca componet plugs

If your computer has an S-video jack, (and if your tv has one)then all you need is the cable. If not, you need some sort of pc to tv converter, which run a wide range of prices, depending on if your tv has s video or not.
