<span>Hello,<br /><br />To reset the dishwasher push in this order the,<br /><br />HIGH TEMP WASH- HEATED DRY- HIGH TEMP WASH- HEATED DRY - CANCEL/OFF<br /><br />the control will be reset...but more importantly how many times in a row does the light flash..it will indicate what error code its displaying??<br /><br />example if it flashes 4 times then a pause then flashes 4 times again its displaying the error code#4<br />7 flashes then pause then 7 flashes its displaying the error code#7 ect ect<br /><br /><br /><br />GENE</span>
The light blinking seven times is a error code specifically it's error #7 .The E-7 error indicates the part called the flow meter is bad. To clear that error code and get the dishwasher to start push within 3 seconds HIGH TEMP WASH -HEATED DRY-HIGH TEMP WASH- HEATED DRY
then push CANCEL sereval times to dishwasher shuts off..it should start and run then
If the blinks 7 times again the flowmeter will need to be replaced
ON some models the "HIGH TEMP WASH" button is labled power scrub instead of high temp wash so in that case push POWER SCRUB-HEATED DRY-POWER SCRUB-HEATED DRY then cancel as described above
In case the E-7 error returns and the flowmeter needs to be replaced the part number for it is W10195536

call sears, 1-800-4MY-HOME. They have a trouble-shooting department that will get rid of this problem. It is caused by water temperature being wrong at the start of the cycle.... blah, blah, blah. The representative will tell you to push a certain set of buttons in a certain order and that unlocks the dishwasher.
