I have a Handspring Visor Graphite Handheld and when i shnged the bateries i lost all my data. Anyone can help?

If you have hotsynced your Visor with a PC (or Mac), the first time you sync your Visor to that computer, it should restore all the data from the last hotsync to the PDA. This is one big reason that it makes sense to sync your PDA on a regular basis.
Unfortunately, if you never used the hotsync function for your Visor, you may not be able to recover any of your data. This model Handspring Visor requires good batteries or else everything in its memory will randomize and you will lose all stored information. There is a small capacitor in the Visor that provides enough reserve power for about 30-60 seconds when you pull out the batteries. It's for this reason that Palm recommended pulling out only one battery at a time when changing to a fresh set. That minimized the amount of time that the PDA would be without power. That same advice applies equally to Visor PDAs.

My tungsten palm went black and now all of my info is gone.

The battery died. if you by chance synced your pda to your computer than you can get it all back by connecting the pda to the computer through usb or cradle and press your hot sync button or option.

My computer suddenly lost all the data for the palmone zire 72s. Can't figure out why. Don't want to sync in case it deletes all the data from the pda.

First, install Desktop Manager on another computer and sync, just as a backup.

Then, before you sync on YOUR desktop, look for the option on the Desktop Manager to copy from the PDA to the desktop only, so you won't lose your data.

Then, after the sync, change the Desktop Manager back to 2-way sync.

Hope this helps.

Hope this helsp.

Lost my entire palm desktop calendar and need it back!!

Unless you have a copy of the data for your Palm backed up on Mac or an external hard drive or a copy of the data backed up on your Palm I think you can consider it gone. Mac's do that even with ipods or iphones if you're not careful. Having a true backup/copy of the data somewhere separate from the regular sync setup helps avoid this. Syncing is not the same as a backup regarding data such as this.

I want to delete a user on my zire31 pda

You should be able to hard reset the palm and erase all data. There should be a rest pin hole on the back, hold it and press the power button. All internal memory will be erased.

Lost data

If you had made a backup of your device then you can recover the list along with everything else you had stored in the backup. If you had been previously synced, MS Outlook will contain your contact list and all information as such will be restored onto your device. If you had added contacts after the last sync........ They will have to manually be reentered.

Lost Data

The simple answer is.. i'm sorry to say it so simple.. no. Here is why. PDA's have volatile RAM memory. This means that when the battery, back-up battery are completely drain out, they cannot keep up powering the RAM memory. When the power cuts off, everything in the RAM memory is lost. The operating sistem and other files specific to it, doesn't get erased as they are stored separately in another kind of memory called ROM. This doesn't get errased when power drains out. The reason why PDA's doesn't have only ROM is because this type of memory is slow and the PDA will operate (read or write data to it) in the same slow manner. Therefore they use the RAM memory wich is faster. The best advice I can give you now is never to let the main battery to drain out completely. Also regular back-ups of the data inside the PDA are usefull for situation where unexpected occur. Feel free to ask more questions and always remember to rate the answers provided from this site ;). Good luck.

Palm data and ActiveSync

You won't be able to do that. Lotus Organizer as well as Lotus Notes and OutHook are PIM some plus e-mail, just like Palm Desktop is a PIM. So you can have the Treo sync with Lotus Organizer AND have the Axim sync with it also it is because there are conduits buit for them. There is a middleware that allows both to talk to one. Now if you can find a piece of software out there that will sync a PocketPC with Palm Desktop, I'm sure a lot of Palm converts would love to know that.

Sync Doubling Calendar & Contacts in Outlook 2002

your t5 is UNSTABLE possibly due syncing to an old username from an old PDA. To correct this: -delete manually the doubles (PDS has a tool but none for outlook) -perform hard reset on your t5 -hotsync - creating a new user name (do not use the old one) -you will be asked to use the same profile name for the outlook Then you should be good to go.

ActiveSync - not sync-ing all data!

As far as I know you can define the new name and use PDA without any problem. This is not a kind of problem. Create a new name and make connection. You will be also able to remove all old PDA names.
