Question about Canon PowerShot A85 Digital Camera
I've had my A85 Powershot for almost two years now and the LCD screen has recently stopped working. I will turn in on and the screen will remain black. I know the camera takes pictures because when I upload them they come out fine. The display simply remains black. I've even more recently discovered that the LCD is not broken because it does in fact work while connected to the computer (Using remote shooting, ZoomBrowserEX canon photo software). The computer can turn the LCD on while connected, but when disconnect it shuts back off. Is there anyway I can fix the camera using a reset fucnction or possible reconfiguring the camera through the computer?
I have a Canon powershot A85 camera, and it works fine, but I get no picture in the LCD screen. It does take pictures and I can look at the pictures after I have taken them. I don't know if you live in Australia, if you do ring Canon on 131383. A lot of Canon camera's and also a lot of other digital camera's all have a problem with the CCD Chip. My brother has a Canon A75, he has had is for many years, and they fixed it free of charge, because it is a problem the camera has, so not something we done. Look on the internet and you will find a lot of info on it, also that it will be fixed free of charge. I also found the same information on a lot of other digital camera's, so ring Canon and find out, I hope this helps you. Kind Regards Marion
