I tried to buy a thermocouple from the importer. A person said that it would be several weeks before the boat arrives. She also said that Lowes had them, but on checking, a man at Lowes said they would not get any more after the two already sold were gone. Its junk until a thermocouple can be found. rgw

Heater serial # 3687823 was working fine then just stopped. cant get it to light now

if the pilot lights when held but wont stay lit, the thermocouple is shot, local hardware stores sell universal thermocouples. self explanatory to replace. if even when pressing the button the pilot doesn't light there is a blockage in the gas line or control valve. that needs a pro to fix.

Heater will ignight and burn for about 5min. then will go out even piolet it is a pro-com lp ventless heater.i have used air to blow out and clean but has not worked

Cleaning the Pilot/ODS is parts of what should be done but you should also check the thermocouple.

Here is a link to the instructions:

http://www.msservice.net/ts/reseat_thermo-clean_pilot-ODS.htm

This should take care of your problem if this does not take care of the problem then you may need to replace the thermocouple.

Pro-Com Gas Heater Some times the pilot light goes out, flame burns a nice blue color. im afraid to go to sleep with hreater on

Many times the thermocouple will build up so corrosion where it seats into the gas valve. This will cause the heater to just go out at random time. When the pilot goes out it will turn the gas valve off so no gas will escape from the valve.

Try cleaning the end of the thermocouple and see it that takes care of your problem.

My pro comp heater will light the pilot but will not light the heater. It just sparks attempting to light, after a while it will shut off completely.

Could be your thermocouple. The spark should light the pilot and the pilot lights the main burner but if the thermocouple doesn't pick up the heat from the pilot the igniter will keep trying to light it until it times out and shuts off to prevent gas buildup.

Looking for: ProCom Model MNO60HBA (about 3 years old) 6000BTU-Natural Gas-Serial#3620775. I want 3 of the plastic like adjuster knobs on top of the heater. Not the igniter button but the one to allow gas...

Control knobs can be purchased from Procom customer service at 877-886-5989. If you can't find them there, call Kozy World's customer service department at 800-776-9425 and tell them you need a control knob for a KWN109 (same size heater, manufactured by Procom, so same control knob).
