Question about Panasonic DMC-FX07 Digital Camera

Panasonic DMC-FX07. Dropped and died

I recently dropped my dmc fx07 from a height of approx 1 metre, it was in a neoprene case. However it has completely died. I took it to the place I bought it from for a price to fix ( £130 + ).

I don't understand what happened but I do know it has put me off buying another panasonic. It is a great camera but this vulnerability in camera
is a real problem that can't be overlooked.

My DMC-FX07 does not turn on any more. How to fix it?

  • Anonymous Feb 25, 2009

My first FX-07 Panasonic camera was dropped onto a tile floor. LCD cracked. Camera now junk.

I replaced the camera with the same model. And dropped the second one from not much of a height and it will not turn on now. I am beginning to think that they are fragile and may not buy another one

If it's not a hardware issue due to damage like the above posters suggested, try updating the firmware. I suggest referring to the user manual before you do so, however:

You have to start speaking proper English. "What do I have to change"

Also, you need to move from your NOVI home as you are not safe.

Camera will not retract nor function

It sounds like you will have to have the camera repaired. You don't necessarily need to drop it, as they can malfunction on their own. Before having the device serviced, try checking out the user manual for more explanation on this issue:
