Hummmm......Not sure. What have you tried? Is it backwards threaded? Why are you removing it?

Looks pretty straight forward, remove the fan door, intake restrictor and a locking nut and the fan should come off.

How to change flywheel on bg86c stihl blower

  1. Remove fan housing
  2. Remove spark plug and install piston stop.
  3. Remove flywheel nut.
  4. If flywheel is struck on use a puller. Stihl uses a knocker type puller that screw on the crankshaft and tapped by a hammer. Be carefully not the damage the crankshaft stud or the bearing.
  5. To install reverse the above skipping item 4. Just make the flywheel engages the slot in the crankshalf. The flywheel nut is torque to 17 nM or 150 in lbs. Don't over torque the nut or damage will occur to the flywheel.

How can I get the fan off.

Some are left hand threads. Seen it more than once.

Owners manual may indicate that.

Broken pull cord mac320v leaf blower

The pull string is in a housing underneath the fan. Remove the left (as you're holding the blower with the outlet facing away) housing. The blower fan is visible. Use a 1/2" light duty impact driver, it's a conventional clocking leftie loosie rightie tightie. Remove nut, thick flat washer, fan, and another thick flat washer. Three screws are holding the pull string housing. Remove the housing. Three more screws and thin flat washers, and the spool is in your hand. Reassemble in reverse order.

Which way to turn the nut holding the fan blade in the blower part? Any good ways to get that nut off?

Deep well 6 point socket (not sure on the nut size you can figure that out maybe 14mm?) and an impact wrench turning Counter clockwise CCW it will come off almost instantly.
or a simple ratchet may work

Having trouble getting old blade off my ryobi brush clearing attachment. Whats the trick?

Is definitely a left hand thread on the bolt...your machine came with a small rod to hold the head while loosening or tightening the nut which holds the blade....there is a hole and a slot in the machines head to insert the rod....if you've lost it you can probably use a small piece of drill rod about 5/16 diameter or a drill bit to hold it ...turn nut in clockwise direction and it will probably come loose....good luck !!! ;-D
