d-17 actually has a sub code but d-17 relates to the master roll it could be that the master roll is incorrect or its not been detected by the sensor for more help please let us know what the sub code is thanks

The error code should start with a letter. Is it 'P'?
Error P18-531 means: Print drum lock is still ON even after 100 milliseconds after the print drum lock solenoid is activated.
Check te solenoid! Maybe it is defective or only stuck.

Error P02-405 means: The upper-limit sensor does not go ON within 12 seconds after the elevator motor operates in the raising direction.

A D17 is incorrect master roll installed. This could be caused by a) it IS the incorrect master roll, or b) the RF tag that is inside the master roll has gone bad. Try a new one in the original packaging to help with diagnoses. Make sure they are RISO Z type master rolls specific for an RZ220.
