You are engaging the time delay switch when you start changing the time on your machine. Don't do anything with the clock or timer. You need to just choose the whole wheat program and the machine will perform as it is supposed to.
press clear until beeps......unplug..... remove the pan from the machine....put all the ingredients in....yeast goes in last....put the pan back in the machine....plug back in......press the "select" button.....choose the program you want....choose the loaf size....choose the crust color......push "start".....now relax your bread will be ready in about 3 hours.....
If you are using the timer nothing will happen until the time you set for the breadmaking process to begin occurs. In other words if it 8 am and you want your bread several hours later then your bread machine will do nothing until several hours later. If you don't want to use the timer and you just want to be sure that your paddle turns and kneads the bread go ahead and push the stop button and hold it down until it beeps. Unplug your machine, then plug it back in. Then do this:
----choose your program ( for example choose #1 basic)
---choose your crust color
----choose your loaf size 1.0, 1.5, or 2.0 pounds
----push the start button
----your machine will start mixing with the paddle
----if your machine is cold it may warm up for about 15 -20 minutes but it will start mixing within 1/2 hour.........hope all this helps
