Well i never had any problem with my phone before and i never charge it when there is still power left and i never charge it with it on.
the problem is that i wentto charge it it telling me that it is unable to charge.
i tryed diffrent out lets too if that would do anything.
I have the same problem as you and that my battery wouldn't stay charged longer than 2 days.
i went to the local verizon service and i knew the tech and he took a tooth brush and gave it a good cleaning with it at the connectors at the end of the phone.
he told me too do the same on my chargers especially on the 3 small prongs in the middle of the chargers.
and just good measure i took the battery out and cleaned it with my tooth brush. if this doesn't solve your problem then it probably needs to be looked at. hope this helps you out.

The problem you are facing with the phone is definitely not from the charger but rather from the phone itself,
The charging port is worn out, hence its unable to transmit power into the phone mechanism, which makes the phone unable to charge.
The solution is to replace the charging port of your W995 phone, this will definitely solve your problem,

COULD BE THE PHONE BUT MOST LIKELY ITS THE CHARGER, IF ITS AFTERMARKET GET RID OF IT AND BUY OEM, TRY AND TEST IT OUT WOULD A FREINDS MOTOROLA CHARGER SINCE THEY'RE MOSTLY THE SAME CHARGERS AND SEE IF YOU STILL GET THE MESSAGE.
it could be built in condensation or something, try to actually, remove the battery sim card and put the phone inside a sealed bag or jar of whole grain white rice. the rice wil actually absord any left over moisture in the case of the phone. before you try to use it make sure you have no left over rice in it tho. This really works!
"unable to charge", "insert sim".
is your phone been dropped or got wet? if unable to charge, when using a wall charger, try different outlets. if using onl one charger, tr different chargers. if it won't work, try other compatible batteries if you would get a charging message. if does not work, have your phone checked with a service center
I had exactly the same problem. After unsucessfully looking for a solution on the net I removed the simm chip and set it aside. The next day, I put it on PC usb charge and left it overnight. The next day, I powered it up and it worked. I turned it off and replaced the simm and it is now working fine. Go figure...
