Hi Kem827,
I saw your recommendation to access the "Preference Setup" menu and reset the system to the factory settings. That's exactly what I am trying to do. But the problem is that I cannot select this menu, the cursor jumps from "Video Setup" to "Password Setup" without stopping in the "Preference Setup" icon.
Any suggestion how to fix this?

The "Preferences" menu will show onlyi when there is no disk in the disk tray. Take the disk out and click setup button.
