Hello am using sharp ar165 m copier machine .and am installing my pc also but scaner is not working please help me.

How are you doing? In order for scanner to work in all multi-functional printers, you must install all functions. While installing printer Sharp Ar165m, it will ask you if you need to install scanner and you must select that box otherwise it will install printer alone. Also there is an option where you are to configure the button keys on scanner function, please configure the buttons while installing. This will allow you to press scanner key on the copier to start scanning without necessarily selecting from the computer otherwise --- will appear and nothing happens. So insert the software CD and remember to select scanning option.

Can i scan over the network on a deskjet f380?

Yes, but the configuration needs to be a network, rather than hosted and shared, setup. After you get the printer connected and working on the network, you need to install printer on each machine, much like if that computer was going to host the printer, then look for the network printer, and good to go...
Network printers work much better and do not require a host computer, after set up.

Printer installation

On the computer that the printer is connected to, go into the Printers and Faxes window, RIGHT click on the printer you want to share and select "Sharing...". After you finish going through the printer sharing wizard, go to a different PC and try to add a printer, select network printer. Make sure that the computer that is sharing the printer is on during this process, it sounds strange to have to mention this I know but you would be surprised. I'll check back later to see how things worked out.
