Question about Casio Parts Cash Register PC Desktop

My cash register (Sharp XE-A202) is suddenly no longer allowing me to make entries in the 'reg' mode, coming up with the error message E34. I shave consulted the manual and it says the action to take is 'make a registration within a limit of entry'. I have read through the whole manual and do not understand what this means and cannot determine what I need to do to clear this!! The till is functioning ok in 'Manager' mode. Please help!! Thank you.

    Thanks Mark - that makes sense! I was not the last person to use the till before this happened - so cannot be certain what somebody else did. The till is letting me enter an amount and registering it into the '1' department (which is the only department key we actually use) - but the error message then comes up when we either try to press the sub total or total key.     Hello

    I have a similar problem, I have tried the listed solution but it does not work. I can enter the amount, department and sub-total but when I press the total key, I get the E34 message??

Ok. This means you have accidentally programmed an amount limitation. I can help you with this. You need to tell me which button is making the error appear, then we can sort it out.

    Ok. Try this:

    Turn key to PGM mode

    008 X ST TL

    Now turn key back to REG mode, and try a sale without using subtotal, so price, dept, total and see if it works. If it does, then try a sale that includes subtotal, and see if it still works.

    That's great news. It was actually a limtation on the TL button, so i don't know why it affected ST as well. Still, if it goes, it's all good.

    My register does the e34 error as soon as i hit the tl/ns button in mgr mode. i have been using the mgr mode as the reg mode does the e34 error all the time & i didnt understand the instructions in my manual to set the overflow limit

I press PLU/SUB and it keeps printing out.

It sounds like you are seeing the time display. Turn the key to REG mode and try pressing CL (clear). If it doesn't beep, get the keyboard checked by a technician

you did not finalise what you were doing in the p mode. turn your key to P then press sub/ button then ttl/button then back to R and operate
