Question about PC Laptops
Go to start > control panel,
Click on the Sound and Audio device icon. See if it is active and not grayed out. If it is grayed out, it means that your audio drivers are not installed.
If it is grayed out, go to the main window of the control panel > Device Manager > Sound and Audio
There check if there is an red X or yellow exclamation mark on the Audio device.
Right click on the Audio device and on the drop down window, click un-install. then restart the laptop. Check for sound again.
Also put a headset on the line out/spk out port and see if you get sound there. Let me know.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

Are you forget to install sound driver during installing operating
system on your laptop? So first check that drivers are properly install
or not. If it is not install, install it. If already installed, try to
Still you are not getting any sound on your system so it also possible that the sound card is possibly dead. If the computer uses on-board sound (meaning there is no separate card with sound jacks on it), that is more problematic. That part on the board cannot be replaced without replacing the whole motherboard, normally. In either case, install a new sound card and use its jacks for audio.
