Hello you can download the driver here at gateway:

http://support.gateway.com/product/default.aspx?modelid=2376

First make sure it`s the right model.

But first select your windows system 32 or 64 bit system.

Download the sound driver and unzip the file before you install.

Reboot after the install is done.

Install the other drivers if any missing.

Hope this will help you.

My speaker automatically lower's the volume, that's why i cant here anymore music

Check you antivirus licence update. That is a virus issue. If you are using free antivirus or trial version of antivirus, try to get licenced one. You will need to reload the system. Then that is the end. You will be able to enjoy your sound properly. Cheer. Engr. Adewumi

A 'friend' cleaned up my laptop programs and voila, no sound, no music no movies...mime only.

cleaned it up or restored it? If it wasnt restored you should be able to set it back the way that it was before the "cleanup". Go to start, all programs, accessories, system tools and click on system restore. You will then be able to set your computer back to a date that it was working fine. It will generate a list of dates for you to choose from, just make sure that it is past the date that certain things stopped working. It will go through the process of restoring to an earlier point and then it will reboot itself. You should be able to load Windows normally and have all of your settings back. Once you do that you can do a cleanup yourself by following these instructions. Go to start, my computer, right click on your C drive and go to properties. You will then see a button at the bottom to do a disk cleanup. Place check marks in each of the boxes and click ok. It will then ask if you are sure you want to delete these files, click ok and let it go through the process. Depending on the purpose of your cleanup you may want to download and install an antimalware program and run a scan on your system. You can follow this link for the free trial version of malware bytes antimalware. Download and install this, when the dialog box for download comes up click on save, not run. save the file to your desktop for easy access. Once you have installed the program it will ask you if you want to run it now, say yes and do a full scan, placing a check mark in 'C'. Once that has funished scanning it will show you a log of files that may or may not be infected. It will also give you the option at the bottom to fix these. Click on that and you will be done. If there is anything else that you want included in your clean up please comment back and I will be glad to assist you further. Heres the link..

I have formated compaq presario v3000 laptop and when i play music it says 'no audio device' also i cannot install MS office 2007, so how can i solve this problems?

You need to install the audio driver which often doesn't automatically re-install when reloading the operating system.

Try installing MS office from SAFE MODE. This assumes you have a full version. Some PC's are delivered with a "trial" version that self destructs a fixed time after it is installed. OFTEN it prevents re-installation of the trial version as well.

Need sound card driver

Hi Rana,

Assuming you're running Windows XP or 2000, you can download the PCI 128 Sound Card Driver Installation programs here:

http://support.creative.com/downloads/download.aspx?nDownloadId=255. (They are free of charge, of course).

When you launch the program, it detects your operating system information and automatically installs the appropriate drivers.

If you're running something other than Windows XP or 2000, go here: http://support.creative.com/Downloads/searchdownloads.aspx to find additional driver installation packages.

Hope this helps, and enjoy the sound and music!

Gail :-)

Acer 5050 (5056) not working with Indigo I/O

Hi Uzo, click on this Acer link to open.
http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_5050.html

Under MS Windows XP, click the dropdown menu & choose,
Audio Driver Realtek Ver. 5.10.0.5273
A download window will open, click to Save. Creat a folder on you're desktop & name it sound driver. Save the download file into the folder.
If you prefer the MS Windows Vista, do the same as mentioned above.
The downloaded file will be compressed in a .zip format. Use WinZip to uncompress the files into the folder you created.
If you need the program WinZip you can download a free 45 day trial from this link.
http://www.download.com/WinZip/3000-2250_4-10003164.html

It is suggest that you check Add/remove programs & unstall any previous sound drivers before installing Acer's driver software. If you sound still does not function, please run windows update service. Code 10 can mean many different things, including you're system may contain a virus.
Explanation of error codes generated by Device Manager in Microsoft Windows XP Professional.

Good luck!
Hope the Acer driver software gets you're sound to work.
Have more questions? Please feel free to ask.

Windows closing slow means you have a bunch of program that are running in the back ground. Windows has to close each before the system can shut down. To see just what is running in the back ground. Allow windows to completly finish opening. Click the start button, click run. In the window type, msconfig & click ok. System Configuration Utility window will open. Click on the Startup tab. Now you can see just what programs are running in the back ground.
Adding memory can also help speed up a slow pc & keeping the system clean by using the two programs listed next.
First. Run disk cleanup, a windows program found in system tools. Than run Defrag also found in system tools. Restart the pc when finished. This should help your system to run a bit better.
If you have the CD that came with the sound card uninstall the software through Add/ Remove programs found in the control panel. Restart the pc. Reinstall the drivers from the CD & try opening a few programs. Open & run the program your using to play music. Any better? If not try using another music program like iTunes a free download found here. http://www.apple.com/itunes/
You can also try the drivers from creative they may be newer than your CD here: http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/welcome.asp?action=next
Enjoy!
