Exact same problem only mine is always below 37 and freezes food constantly.

I have the same issu --

    1. Refridge temp won't acknowledge the temp I've set. I set to recommended 37 degrees but registers at 34 degrees.

    2. Fresh produce and custom cool drawers freeze my food - especially toward the back of the drawer.

    3. Water dispenser on front works / stops working intermittently.

We have a PM26M and the every once in a while the water line stops working, the vegetables freeze and the temperature goes to plus 3 0r 4 in the freezer and 40 to 47 on the right side. There is major ice build up in the back of the fridge. Any suggestions.

So long as the fresh food side stays 36-42 degrees you are OK.

SOURCE: Refrigerator does not maintain 37 degrees

i have seen this problem before its the control board in the back the board is about 150 dollars and it goes every DING DING 5 years lol horrible design of the one that comes on the fridge every ge side by side has this problem  its very easy to replace but have to "ground" yourself before you touch the new control board meaning rub you hands on plumbing pipes, not pvc or copper
good luck if you got questoins let me know

The Profile and Artica are good refrigerators. the problem may be the defrost element, defrost thermostat or the mother board. Let me know if you want help on this one. Thanks Sea Breeze

SOURCE: I have a GE Profile Artica S/S, model # PSS25NGMD

With temperatures like that the water tank is frozen stopping water to dispenser. This could be thermistors in fresh food section going bad or a combination of thermistors and motherboard. I can assist you if you have not already called for a technician. Sea Breeze

SOURCE: Refrigerator is too cold (28 degrees)

this is likely one of the thermistors on the fresh food side has failed. They are usually located under a small cover inside the fridge. They should have a reading of 15.5k-16.5k ohms at 72 degrees. They are easy to check and replace. Here is a link that should help. All of a sudden my GE Profile Artica's freezer is at 25 degrees and the fridge side is at 43 degrees. I've forgotten how to "set" the temperatures but I'm afraid that's not the problem. Any ideas?

I would clean the condenser coil. This coil is located under or in back of the frig. When they get dirty the frig can't pull down the temp.
It's a common problem.
I hope this helps.

Everything in the refrigerator is freezing

The 37 degree reading you're seeing is the temp. setting, not the present actual temp. When it jumps back to 22-25 its telling you what the actual temp is inside the refrig....simply wait about 24 hours. It should then read about 37...that is, the temp you set it at 24 hours previously.

GE side by side (purchased 2005; don't know exact model)

Defrost timer issue is my guess. It is generally located behind the rear inside panel in the fridge section. I'm guessing about $150-200 or so to fix it.
