Re: phone contacts copying problem
Sim memory is limited...hence you can retrieve the numbers by copying sim contacts to phone memory....you can get the numbers saved in your sim by opening contacts book and on top you find a menu called"options" there will be option to open your sim contacts
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

This is an early model Samsung and unfortunately they did not have the convenience of having a "copy all to sim" option like most newer phones do. You can copy one contact at a time by selecting the contact>options>copy contact to sim...but there is no quick way to do it. If you live near a CORPORATELY owned AT&T store--most of them have UME machines...which will connect your device to one and and a new device to the other end and allow to quickly copy all of your contacts.
Unfortunately you can only copy them one-by-one...go to your address book, select the contact you want to copy, click the menu button and select "view"...then press the menu button again and select "Copy to SIM Phone book", this option is the very first one up.
U can do it by pc suite. U can do it by bluetooth. but if u are questioning means problem is different. i suggest u one more method . it is little bit time consuming. firstly see that all ur contacts in ur previous phone are in phone memory. then copy all contacts to sim . ur mobile wil ask to delete them from phone or not. select option of deleting them. One sim has memory upto 150-200 contacts.suppose 200. now 200 contacts u hav in the sim and rest on phone. take the sim card to ur new phone . copy all from it and remove from the sim after copying. now again repeat the previous part again. it will take less time if u hav 4-5 empty sims.
You must have copied each number with two names or there may be double entery inside phone.
Double entry for single number
same contact in phone and sim
missing country code (ex. +91 xxx) in special cases
take one other phone, and delete that number from your phone (sim n phone both memory) after deleting that contact details, misscall from working phone to your phone, and store that contact in ur phonebook
delete all contacts and add one time only. make sure no double copying
