Yes this absolutely can be repaired, the bad news is unless you can find somebody to do the work cheap, (check craigslist for your area to see about less expensive private repair), the repair can and usually does cost as much as a new laptop. If the laptop is a newer top of the line unit, it is worth having repaired. If older or a cheaper model, consider replacement

Replacing the set will be cheaper than buying a new panel unless you can find one that has other problems but the panel is good.

The site I work for may have a used replacement screen for your model. Just measure your screen just the visible part dont worry about the part that is behinfd the screen frame just top to bottom and side to side measurement, then leave them an email with the Information and they will respond quickly.

Staining on LCD tv screen

The LCD screen is bad this may have been caused by presure exerted to the screen fracturing the cells of the LCD. any way the LCD is bad and needs replacing.
